Growing up in a large poor family, I was born the 13th child of a family of thirteen. My parents were poor and my mother often worked two jobs to support the family while my father was away being a fettler on the New South Wales railway. While growing up being isolated and poor, I had the opportunity to travel all over New South Wales and part of Victoria. I attended thirty-four schools in my lifetime, leaving study behind me at the tender age of 13. I settled down and married at 31 and four children were produced, which one is now deceased. Although I did many jobs in my lifetime, it never gave me the gratification that writing has given me. My imagination started early when I soon realized money didn't grow on trees and I had to work for what I get. My love for writing started when I was in my last year of high school at the age of 13, when the teacher encouraged my imagination. It wasn't until after the death of my oldest child that I knew it was time to follow my passion. With pen in hand I finally sat down and started to write. To me writing is like a journey, you will never know what you will find until you get there. Thank you for reading.
